holiday at The Cōmodo,
The highest mountains of the Eastern Alps transform into a powdery winter wonderland from the end of November, offering 760 kilometers of varied slopes and 356 pistes for skiing and snowboarding.
No wonder Gastein is considered a true paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. From winter to spring, excellent snow conditions prevail up to 2,650 meters above sea level. For those who prefer not to bring their skis on this winter vacation and long for relaxation and rejuvenation, the snowy landscape can be explored on snowshoes, with winter forest bathing, or while snowshoe hiking.
The interconnected ski area of Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel is a 2,300-meter-high winter paradise that combines variety, adventure, and family-friendliness. Diverse slopes and ski tours are available for all skill levels. For those looking to take their skills to the next level, the Snowpark Gastein and the Funslope provide the perfect terrain. The slopes are accessible by hotel shuttle, bus, or a 10-minute drive.
Our local mountain, the Graukogel, is a highlight for experienced skiers, featuring the legendary World Championship downhill from 1958, pistes covered in beautiful natural snow, and a pine forest. From December 17 to March 19, the Graukogel becomes a meeting point for evening ski tourers on full moon nights and every Wednesday evening.
The highest area, Sportgastein, impresses with a breathtaking mountain plateau, perfect cross-country ski tracks, and challenging black pistes through the high alpine terrain. The snow-rich slopes make this area a haven for freeriders.
The Angerer Ski School offers courses for children starting from 3 years old, with an all-inclusive service that includes hotel pickup and drop-off, as well as private ski instructors.
At The Comodo, everything is prepared for the winter season: the ski equipment storage room is ready, and the team is happy to assist with organizing rental gear or transportation options to the ski area.
